Sometimes we think "change" means striving, performing, and quickly becoming better. But this song wants to tell you: God is not a coach who demands perfection; He is a friend who walks the journey with you. The Lord doesn't rush you to improve. He is willing to learn with you over and over again, encouraging you with his gaze and guarding you with his love until you are willing to take the next step. Because to Him, you are worthy of love from the very beginning. "A Better Me" I don't always know how to do it right. Sometimes I don't even understand myself. But you don't criticize me or urge me to change. You choose to walk by my side through this journey. I thought change meant constant effort, until you taught me to first learn to be loved. You saw the immaturity within me, yet you still illuminated the future with your love.

You help me become a better version of myself. You don't force me to change, but wait until I understand. You don't give me a list to follow; you simply love me, taking your time. You help me gradually overcome my weaknesses, encouraging me with your gaze to learn more. I can move forward because you reached out first. You make me a better person, yet I remain me.
